Design & Build

At Alaskan we understand the benefits of improving and extending your home to provide more living space. You may need an extra family room, larger kitchen, a home office, an extra bedroom, or an additional bathroom. Whatever the reason, not only will you save money in the long run by extending rather than moving home, it’s an investment that will add appeal and value to your home when the time does come to move.

Garage Conversion

Whether you are simply looking to brighten your garage with additional windows, or want to transform it into a brand new living space that will be a part of your home, we can advise and guide you at every stage of your project.

We will help you to get the plans drawn up and assist with planning permissions and any building control issues, ensuring that your bespoke garage extension fully meets your needs, with minimal disruption to your daily life.

Along with the structural works for your garage conversion, we will complete all electrical and plumbing works, along with the plastering, roofing and joinery.

Extensions

We will work with you to advise on the best way to create more space in your home. A single storey extension is perfect for creating a second reception room, downstairs bathroom or bedroom, or to give you a larger kitchen and dining room area.

Depending on the size of your house extension, under permitted development regulations, you might not even need full planning permission in order to undertake your building project. However, our team of experts will be on hand if full planning permission is required, and will help to take the stress out of planning your ideal home extension.

We can work in partnership with your architect, ensuring that the works meet with building regulations approval. As well as the construction works, we will also take care of all additional works, from plumbing, gas and electrical requirements through to ground works, roofing, plastering and joinery.

Double Storey Extension

Many people with growing families need extra space on both floors of their home. As well as an additional reception room, play area, study, living room or larger kitchen downstairs, a double storey extension also provides additional bedroom and bathroom space upstairs.

Depending on the size of the extension, you will either need planning permission or a permitted development notice. Our surveyors and designers will support you throughout the entire process and are adept at liaising with architects.
